Carbon LSD Spec 4 & Spec 5
Spec 4 - The initial torque is set at 20kg-m at the factory. By increasing the number of the coned springs (newly designed spring) to 6, ATS have increased the internal pressure and made it possible to maintain the initial torque much longer than the previous version Spec 2 and Spec 3. Furthermore, the LSD is tested on the bench at the factory for about 30 min to prevent a possible drop-off of the initial torque at the early stage of the product life.
Spec 5 - The initial torque is set at 20kg-m at the factory. By increasing the number of the coned springs (newly designed spring) to 4, ATS have increased the internal pressure to 500kg to 600kg and made it possible to maintain the initial torque much longer than the previous version Spec 2 and Spec 3. Furthermore, the LSD is tested on the bench at the factory for about 30 min to prevent a possible drop-off of the initial torque at the early stage of the product life.
Note: The side bearing for the DC5 (91005-PPS-003) is required for DC2 and EK9.
The previous version of Spec 2 (10 to 12kg-m initial torque) and Spec 3 (15kg initial torque) have been discontinued. If you would like the initial torque lower than 20kg-m like the previous version, please mention that at the time of the order. ATS will adjust the initial torque of Spec 4 to the value you specify.
