A Carbon LSD the Kinoshita Spec
A Carbon LSD the Kinoshita prototype Model # CNRA109130-PT
This LSD was born in the Super Autobacs 350Z project which professional race car driver, Mr. Mitsuhiro Kinoshita, supervised.
Mr. Kinoshita, who has been a strong supporter of our carbon LSD for several years, wanted to have a better throttle response at the exit point of a corner. ATS responded to his request by changing the cam angle of the acceleration side from 60 degrees to 74 degrees. Thus the LSD now gives you a better throttle response than the standard carbon LSD without sacrificing the excellent carbon LSD characteristics.
Comment from Mr. Kinoshita “This LSD has a superior throttle response but it might be difficult to feel due to the excellent smoothness of the carbon LSD. At the Fuji Speedway, I could open the throttle much faster without having the rear sliding. The LSD allowed me to have a tremendous forward momentum at the exit of every corner. “

*The production of the Prototype was discontinued and the reserach & development from the prototype led to the introduction of ATS Carbon LSD Spec II.
A Carbon LSD the Kinoshita Spec II Model # CNRA109130-SPL2 New
Further research and development with Mr. Kinoshita led to a new LSD to maximize the locking response. This new CNRA109130-SPL2 has 8 internal carbon discs and utilizes special double coned shape springs (standard model has only one coned spring) to maximize the response to the driver's steeering and throttle input. This LSD is praised by Mr. Kinoshita as the best available in the market.
A similar spec can be created for all ATS carbon LSD with 109mm diameter disc.
